Bookings open for Citroen C3 Aircross; the price is Rs. 9.99 lakh

Citroen’s big introduction of the C3 Aircross midsize SUV has lit up Indian highways. The company has finally disclosed the SUV’s price. The vehicle is offered with that mentioned at an introductory price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

However, prices for the mid-spec Plus and high-spec Max variants will be made public soon. From October 15 onward, interested purchasers can reserve the C3 Aircross for a nominal fee of Rs 25,000.

The excitement has been heightened, and enthusiasts have been prompted to reserve their spaces by Citroen dealerships, providing prospective customers with a sneak preview of the suggested costs for the final two grades. The high-powered Max trim is likely to zoom in between Rs 11.95 lakh and Rs 12.10 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom), while the Plus trim is anticipated to fall between Rs 11.30 lakh and Rs 11.45 lakh.

However, the 7-seat arrangement for the Plus and Max trims may be yours for an extra Rs 35,000 if you’re searching for a vehicle with more power. Additionally, the special Vibe pack and dual-tone paint job are only available for the Plus and Max trims and cost an additional Rs 20,000 and Rs 25,000, respectively, for customers looking to add a bit of style.

The fundamental specification The roof-mounted AC vents found in the 7-seat variants are absent from your 5-seat layout. Features like a 10.2-inch touchscreen, speakers, a reverse camera, a rear wiper, a rear defogger, or USB chargers are absent from this version. However, the base model includes almost all of the safety equipment on the Max trim, including two airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, hill-hold assist, TPMS, and reverse parking sensors.

The entry-level models of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor, and the freshly unveiled Honda Elevate will all be facing off against the Citroen C3 Aircross.

The C3 Aircross packs a punch with its competitive pricing despite forgoing some upscale extras that its competitors boast in top-spec versions, including a sunroof, wireless charging, heated seats, and six airbags. For a quick comparison, the highest-spec Seltos HTX starts at Rs 15.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), about Rs 3 lakh more expensive than the highest indicated cost of the C3 Aircross. The top-of-the-line Max trim is more cost-effective than the top-spec Maruti Suzuki Brezza MT (Rs 12.48 lakh), which competes in a lesser class, even at the higher indicated price of Rs 12.10 lakh.

A 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine with 110 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque powers this beast, which is connected to a 6-speed manual transmission.
