Full Details of the Kia Carnival Facelift Revealed

Kia has finally unveiled the refreshed Carnival’s inside and exterior features just a few days after debuting the refreshed Carnival’s external design. The refreshed version of the fourth-generation Carnival was spotted undergoing road tests earlier this year, and it has now been officially introduced to the public. The MPV is now taking reservations in Korea.

Compared to the KA4 MPV that was on exhibit at the Auto Expo in January, the design of the redesigned Carnival is a radical departure from that vehicle. The front end has been redesigned to include a more pronounced rake, a more prominent grille, and L-shaped headlights incorporating daytime running lights. The grille has some chrome accents, and the bumper has a faux brushed aluminium skid plate surrounding a small air intake that is located lower on the bumper.

The L-shaped design is carried over to the back of the vehicle, where the taillights are connected by an LED light bar. On the other hand, the rear bumper is finished in a combination of matte black and chrome.

The newly redesigned Kia Carnival may be had with alloy wheels that measure 19 inches and have a design that is similar to that of wheels found on more recent Kia vehicles, such as the EV5 and EV9. However, cars that are equipped with the hybrid powertrain have alloy wheels that are 18 inches in diameter and are smaller.

A new infotainment curving unit that runs across the driver’s side of the dashboard is being added to the Carnival, which is now available in versions with 4, 7, and 9 seating positions. It has two screens, each measuring 12.3 inches, with one serving as the screen for the digital instruments and the other serving as the information and entertainment unit.

A rotary drive selector, front and rear dash cameras, a heads-up display, a digital rear-view mirror, an updated digital key, ambient lighting along the dashboard, and the option to start the vehicle with your fingerprint are also included in the MPV. Additionally, the controls for the air conditioning and audio system have been redesigned and are now located below the central screen.

Kia asserts that it has upgraded the infotainment system to provide better support for over-the-air software upgrades, enhanced the ambience of the cabin by utilising materials with improved sound insulation, and enhanced the ride comfort of the MPV by making adjustments to the shock absorbers. A screen measuring 14.6 inches can be installed in the rear as an additional entertainment option.

The newly redesigned Kia Carnival receives an improved ADAS package with new features such as adaptive cruise control, lane change assist, and more. Additionally, the international model comes equipped with eight different airbags.

On the market for MPVs, the Carnival has no direct competitors and is placed in the middle between the Toyota Innova and the Vellfire.
