Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R launched, Priced at Rs 8.49 lakh

Kawasaki India has officially released the Ninja ZX-4R motorcycle. It arrives in India as a completely built unit (CBU). It is now India’s most expensive 400-cc motorcycle, priced at Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Its high-performance engine meets the BS6 Stage 2 emissions regulations. The first deliveries of this bike are anticipated during the first week of October 2023.

This latest addition to the brand’s inventory is finished in a stylish metallic black palette. The Ninja ZX-4R features a crisp and sporty appearance, including split LED headlights and a taillight inspired by the Ninja ZX-10R. A translucent visor completes the design, and the side profile of the bike has a big fairing.

A 399 cc liquid-cooled 4-stroke inline-four engine that produces 39 Nm of torque at 13,000 rpm and 76 hp at 14,500 rpm powers the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4R. With the assistance of Ram Air, this engine can produce 79 hp at 14,500 rpm. The engine is connected to a 6-speed slipper clutch gearbox.

This motorcycle has a robust trellis frame and Showa suspension components, including an upside-down fork in front and a preload-adjustable monoshock in the rear. Dual 290 mm discs provide braking power with radial-mount four-piston callipers at the front and a single 220 mm disc at the rear, backed up by standard dual-channel ABS. The Ninja ZX-4R has 17-inch wheels and tyres measuring 120/70-R17 (front) and 160/60-R17 (rear). The bike weighs 189 kg at the kerb and has an 800 mm seat height.

It has a 4.3-inch colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, which enables features like turn-by-turn navigation and notification alerts. Riders can select from four separate riding modes: sport, road, rain, and a configurable rider mode that allows traction control and power levels to be adjusted.
