Royal Enfield Unveils Exclusive Shotgun 650 at Motoverse 2023: Limited Edition of 25 Units

Royal Enfield surprised attendees at Motoverse 2023 by unveiling a brand-new motorbike, which turned out to be the brand-new Shotgun 650. This was done with the company’s presentation of the new Himalayan.

The motorcycle you see in these pictures is a one-of-a-kind “factory custom” model, of which only 25 copies will be produced. People currently attending the MotoVerse festival will be the only ones who can purchase one of these 25 units. It has details such as a highly complex paint job done by hand, which won’t make it over to the final bike, but it does showcase what the production-specification Shotgun will be like.

The Shotgun 650 exhibits classic bobber style, distinguished by a long profile and a low-slung stance featured on the motorcycle. It has a chunky and chopped rear fender, bar-end mirrors, a single seat, a naked circular headlight, bar-end mirrors, and an all-black theme for the hardware package. These distinctive design elements contribute to the vehicle’s overall one-of-a-kind appearance.

The primary frame and the 648cc parallel-twin engine are the only components that remain the same from the Super Meteor 650, although the rest of the motorbike has been drastically redesigned. Because of the shift in weight and the installation of new exhausts in the form of pea shooters, the engine itself has been adjusted to a different state of tune. Although output data have not been disclosed yet, we anticipate they will be comparable to the 47 hp and 52.3 Nm produced by the other Royal Enfield 650s.

The Shotgun 650 has amenities, including a full-LED lighting system (circular headlamp, indicators, and brake light) and a semi-digital circular console configuration with a Tripper navigation module.

In addition, the wheel sizes and the weight distribution have been modified, which has required the suspension to be redone. You will be able to purchase the production model of the Shotgun with a pillion seat. However, removing four bolts can convert this seat into a solo seater. When compared to the retro cruiser-type design of the Super Meteor, the Shotgun’s cut fenders and bar-end mirrors give it a more roadster-like appearance than the Super Meteor.

The ergonomics of the Shotgun are significantly different from those of the Super Meteor 650. The footpegs are situated in the middle of the bike on the Shotgun, and the handlebar is angled downward. Because it is a factory bespoke build, it does give the impression of being very high-end, with outstanding finish standards throughout the entire thing. Specific components, such as the brackets for the rider’s footpegs, have been finished to an unusually high standard and look great.

Royal Enfield is demonstrating its dedication to growing its product line and providing its clients with one-of-a-kind, high-quality custom motorcycles by releasing the brand-new Shotgun 650.
