Skoda Unveils Latest Superb Model Worldwide

Following in the footsteps of the second-generation Kodiaq SUV that was exhibited a month ago, the next-generation Skoda Superb sedan has been formally unveiled. This brand-new generation retains a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) option in its lineup of engines while having a design that is a natural progression from the previous one and a feature set that has been greatly upgraded.

The liftback sedan and estate body types from the previous version of Skoda’s executive flagship are back for the fourth generation. As Skoda prepares to transition to entirely supplying electric cars by the year 2030, the Superb may be the last all-new internal combustion engine vehicle that the company launches in certain countries. However, the Czech manufacturer has yet to disclose whether or not the next generation of each of its (ICE) vehicles will be electric.

Although the manufacturer has not yet provided specific information regarding the performance that can be anticipated from these engines, it is anticipated that it will be on par with the performance of the model being replaced. To provide context, the previous 218-hp Superb iV plug-in hybrid completed the 0-to-100kph test in 7.3 seconds.
