Spy Shot Shows Mahindra XUV.e9’s Cutting-Edge Interior!

A prototype of the Mahindra XUV.e9 electric SUV coupe was sighted being put through its paces in South Korea, most likely for component testing. It’s an electric SUV-coupe variant of the XUV700, already available. Earlier, Mahindra posted a teaser video of the XUV.e9 completing a high-speed test run at the plant where it is being developed.

Mahindra XUV.e9 Interior

Spy photos taken inside the 5-seat SUV coupe show that its cabin is comparable to that of the XUV.e8. The XUV.e9 also has a screen that runs from pillar to pillar; it is composed of a panel with three high-quality 12.3-inch monitors with a 1920X720 pixels resolution. The steering wheel has two spokes, a flat bottom, two dials, and a gear shift lever on the center console. The dials may be used to change the drive modes and AWD modes. On the sides of the screen, there are roughly square air-con vents, which mark the edge of the screen.

The most expensive version will likely contain a head-up display (HUD) with augmented navigation, a vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability to power external electrical devices, and Level 2 Autonomous Driving as part of its list of features.

These pictures show that the vehicle’s front end has a closed-off grille with a space for what appears to be a full-width LED daytime running light (DRL). Even though these halogen headlamps can be seen on the test mule, the production model will feature LED headlights. The sloping roofline is the primary centre of interest when viewed from the side. In addition, the door handles on the front doors have a flush-fitting design, while the door handles on the rear doors are located on the C-pillar.

Mahindra XUV.e9 Powertrain and Platform

The XUV.e9 will utilize Mahindra’s brand-new INGLO EV platform, available with either a 60 kWh or an 80 kWh battery capacity, depending on the buyer’s preference. The maximum range that may be estimated is approximately 450 kilometres. The INGLO platform can support drivetrains with rated outputs of up to 394 PS for all-wheel drive configurations and up to 285 PS for rear-wheel drive configurations.

Mahindra XUV.e9 Price and Rivals

Given that Mahindra is collaborating with Volkswagen-Skoda on the creation of its very own locally-produced electric vehicles, it would be fascinating to see how aggressively priced the XUV.e9 will be. It is anticipated that the electric SUV coupe will not have any direct competitors once it is released because it will occupy a position in Mahindra’s electric vehicle lineup that is superior to that of the XUV.e8 SUV.
