Tata Nexon EV Officially Announced – Launch On September 14

Tata Motors introduced the updated Nexon EV, which will launch on September 14. The brand will announce the prices on the same day. Despite having a similar appearance to the ICE version, the updated model has some differences.

A connecting LED light strip has been added to the front fascia, and the bumper has undergone some changes as well. The dynamic LED lights have features like a welcome and farewell sequence and a charging indicator. Additionally, the rear lights have a welcome and farewell sequence. The available colours are white, grey, teal, purple, and red.

Nexon EV Key Features and Variants

Tata Nexon EV will be distributed in three variants: Creative, Fearless, and Empowered. It has a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is even bigger than the 10.25-inch unit found in the ICE version. The two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo and backlit buttons, as well as the 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, are all the same.

Some of the features include a 9-speaker JBL audio system with a subwoofer, Arcade.ev with access to OTT apps, wireless charging, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an air purifier, an electronic parking brake, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a wiper with rain sensing technology, auto headlamps, a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, a sunroof, etc.

Six standard airbags, ABS, ESC, front parking sensors, ISOFIX, SOS call, Blind Spot Monitor, Hill Ascent Control, Hill Descent Control, all-disc brakes, and others are some of the available safety features.

Tata Motors has dropped the Prime and Max nomenclatures. Instead, there will be Long Range and Medium Range versions of the new Nexon.ev.

Tata Nexon EV Range

Long Range receives a 40.5kWh battery pack, while Medium Range receives a 30kWh battery. They offer a range of 325 km and 465 km, according to ARAI, respectively. The range is now 12 kilometres longer than it was for the previous Nexon EV.

The addition of bi-directional charging from vehicle to vehicle is the most intriguing feature of the Nexon EV facelift. In essence, you can use this technology to charge other electric vehicles and electric appliances.

In the medium-range and long-range versions, respectively, the electric drivetrain generates 129 HP and 215 Nm of torque. Surprisingly, the power output stays the same while the torque decreases by 30 and 38 Nm, respectively.

They assert an acceleration of 0-100 km/h in 8.9 seconds. It can go as fast as 150 km/h. Tata Nexon EV offers three driving modes: Eco, City, and Sport. The electric vehicle has four levels of regeneration.
