Tata Safari facelift Dark Edition in person, 2023

Tata Motors, the third-largest automaker in the nation, has generated a lot of interest in the automotive sector by introducing its refreshed Harrier and Tata Safari SUVs. Initially, two SUVs were displayed digitally, but just a few days later, they were physically displayed for the first time. Recently, the firm welcomed media members to check out the all-new Safari facelift, and actual photos of this SUV have been posted online.

Zigwheels is the source of all the actual images of the Tata Safari makeover. Before getting into the specifics, it must be acknowledged that the Safari redesign already appeared remarkable online. Pictures taken in real life make it appear much more stunning. In light of this, the first public image shows the front of the new 2023 flagship SUV from Tata Motors.

It will have a new linked LED DRL that looks contemporary from the front and all sides. Like the Nexon EV, this LED DRL has the welcome feature, which offers a cool party trick to wow strangers. Additionally, it receives the brand fascia with new, rectangular, vertically stacked LED headlights that are much brighter and more powerful. This specific Dark Edition model had an all-black front grille, which, in person, gave it a more sexier appearance.

Next, many adjustments still need to be made to the side profile; all that has changed are the alloy wheels. The SUV’s new 19-inch alloy wheels come in two different designs. The ordinary models (Fearless and Adventure) get a different design, while the Dark Edition gets a new design. Additionally, the Safari badging appears in its new font on the SUV’s front two doors.

The new facelifted Safari’s rear end looks virtually the same as the outgoing model, except for a few modest but distinctive alterations, it should be noted. The SUV’s rear LED taillights have been updated, and like the front ones, they now have a linked strip in the centre. To further the revised look, the actual design of the LED taillights has also been changed. The rear bumper has also undergone redesigning and received a skid plate.

It was clearly evident from the initial images of the newly remodelled interior that there were significant modifications. These changes appear even more impressive in person. Although the new Safari has the same general dashboard structure as the outgoing vehicle, it looks radically different and feels much more upscale than before. The new interior makes far greater use of high-end materials and modern technology to give it the feel of a luxury car. Additionally, it receives a tonne of segment-first features.

Features

The brand-new Harmon 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment panel is the interior’s focal point, beginning in the dashboard’s centre. The air conditioning vents have a much sleeker design, another element that can be seen. A little lower, it gets toggle switch-based touch-based HVAC controls. The climate control system is now dual-zone, allowing the driver and passenger to various temperatures, just like in high-end automobiles.

Regarding the revised Safari’s engine, the same Kryotec 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine is included in this SUV. The current Safari is powered by the same engine, which has a maximum output of 170 PS and 350 Nm of torque. This engine will offer both a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The business claims the new Safari makeover will result in marginally higher fuel economy ratings, now 16.3 km/l for manual transmissions and 14.5 km/l for automatic transmissions. It still lacks a configuration for four-wheel drive.
