Tesla Model 3 Revamped: Enhanced Performance and Style Unveiled

The updated Tesla Model 3 range for MY 2024 has increased by up to 12% due to the revised aerodynamic design.

One of Tesla’s best-selling models, the Model 3, has considerably increased the brand’s recognition worldwide. When it was introduced six years ago, the Tesla Model 3 shared a lot of similarities with its larger sibling, the Model S. The US launch will soon follow. However, the new design appears limited to the European and Middle Eastern markets with RWD and LR models.

Cleaner lines, FTW, on the updated Tesla Model 3!

With the mid-size Model 3 body, Tesla’s aerodynamic and swoopy egg-shaped appearance looked strange. Tesla has never been known for its design or style, and the Model 3 only served to highlight this. Compared to the current Model 3, the revamped appearance appears sharper and better visually. The LED DRL pattern has been made more angular, making the headlights look sleeker.

A more attractive fascia is created when you combine that with the new lines and shapes. With this revised look, the lower bumper cuts from the previous Model 3 are gone. However, the side profile is still very similar to the old model. The 19′′ alloy wheels are given a fresh finish, but the design remains the same. New tail lights are the only change to the overall rear look.

I’m reminded of a Renault Kiger by these LED tail light characteristics. The ‘TESLA’ writing looks nicer than the Tesla badging that was previously present on the rear. Interior design alterations are much more noticeable. The dashboard has significantly less layering and is now much flatter.

The other door and dashboard are connected by a stylish LED ambient light line that spans both doors. The primary 15-inch infotainment panel now has narrower bezels, but instrumentation readouts remain. A wireless charging pad with space for two phones is located below it. Like the steering-mounted controls found on the Model S and Model X, the steering wheel features a new design.

Greater range compared to its predecessor

Rear AC vents have been moved to accommodate an eight digital display on the updated Tesla Model 3. The rear climate settings and seat heaters are displayed on this screen, serving as the rear entertainment system. Since it was one of the major complaints, we expect Tesla to have considerably improved interior quality, fit, and finish. Improved sound insulation and acoustic glass should be helpful in this area.

Ultra Red and Stealth Grey are the two new hues offered by Tesla. Tesla believes the updated Model 3’s improved aerodynamics have also resulted in a more extended range. The current Tesla Model 3 advertises a WLTP range of 374 miles with the LR (Long Range) variant and 305 miles with the RWD variant. WLTP range estimates for the new and revised Model 3 are 344 miles (554 km) and 421 miles (678 km). This represents an improvement of about 12%.

With RWD, the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes 6.1 seconds, whereas LR AWD requires 4.4 seconds. Tesla has upgraded the sound system in the Model 3 with 17 speakers, including two subwoofers and two amplifiers, for the LR variant. Deliveries will start in late October to Europe and the Middle East markets. Later will be the North American model’s introduction. India has yet to launch.
